What makes us different from our competitors:
If your looking for a groomer who can make a difference and you are not comfortable dropping your dog off to a room of chaos (neither are we), where your dog waits sometimes for hours, intermixing with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, no shot records kept on file, is handled by various turn over staff (some without any prior training, experience, or background checks), while inhaling cigarette smoke, and then sent home shaking and stressed, we sincerely welcome you to join our canine family. At Manhattan Canine, Inc. we are dedicated to raising the bar on the standard of pet care, offering you and your pet a choice, a better alternative, giving you the peace of mind you deserve for all that you do for your pet and all they do for you. Best of all, there is no extra charge for great service. Come see the difference a one on one developed dog to groomer bond and professional grooming and handling rapport can make with your special canine family member. Our promise to you is that we pride ourselves on Quality of Groom and Care received, not Quantity for bottom line. The Safety and Wellness of your pet will always be our first priority. We are happy when our human and canine clients are happy.

About the Groomer / Owner / Background / Experience
Dogs have been an integral part of my life since I entered the world...and I imagine they will continue to be until the day I leave it. Both my husband and I were born in the north, Ohio and Michigan areas. Both of our fathers loved dogs, raised and trained working, hunting and companion dogs. We knew from a very early age, dogs would always be a part of lives. At times, I have had multiple dogs caring for them throughout their lifespan, through the good and the not so good (seizures, bordatella, urinary incontinence, and diabetes are a few to mention). I know that each dog has left an individual footprint inside my heart. I am a Registered Nurse for both Intensive Care and Acute Dialysis, a Registered Radiological Technologist, and have been in healthcare for the last thirty years. I had trouble finding people I could trust and was satisfied with to groom and care for my dogs. Taking a vacation, well that was seldom in the picture. I started grooming my own three dogs, and found it deeply relaxing, opposite my nursing career. I looked forward to my days off when I could groom and started grooming for family and friends, and the word spread. For over twenty years grooming became my second job. When I decided to retire from nursing I knew what I wanted to do...groom. I enrolled in the Academy of Animal Arts, a Private State Certified and Regulated College, with a mandatory on campus curriculum, and I graduated with honors at the top of my class. My instructor, a respected forty year veteran of Show Grooming, Pet Grooming, Dog Training and Handling, groomed me, for my next career, a Certified Professional Groomer. My husband and I moved to Cape Coral seven years ago, we fell in love with the area and set up permanent residence. I had groomed locally for other groomers for the past two years, before deciding to purchase property in order to create a unique luxury spa that would allow me to provide the utmost quality of service.
